Applying for a test
If you are applying for your Driving Test there are a few things to be aware of.
- You must have had your first Learner Permit for six months or longer on the day you are tested.
- If you are under the six months, the examiner will not conduct your test, you will also loose the fee you paid and will have to re-apply for your test.
- You must be insured to drive the vehicle in which you are to be tested. It is sometimes thought that the Test Centres provide you with a vehicle. This is not true.
- You can rent a car off a driving school if you do not have your own vehicle. However be certain to only book lessons with a Qualified A.D.I (Approved Driving Instructor).
- Bear in mind any future holidays that you may have planned when applying as they might clash with your date.
